Park Research Centre

Dr. Mayilsamy Annadurai, Project Director – Chandrayaan, ISRO, inaugurated the “Park Research Centre”, on April 12, 2009. The center is equipped with 30 high end systems (320 GB Hard Disc, 4 GB RAM). Currently seven research assistants are carrying out project works under the guidance of Dr. A.P. Haran.

• “Experimental Characteristics of Wind Turbine Blading over Full Zero to 360 Deg. Angle of Attack”, which is funded by Center for Wind Energy Technology (CWET), Govt. of India, Chennai. (Total fund sanctioned is 15.8 lakhs)

• “Theoretical Investigation of Low Reynolds Number Performance of Small Engine Blade’ which is funded by GATET, DRDO, Govt. of India. (Total fund sanctioned is 12.315 lakhs)

• “The effect of low aspect ratio on boundary layer growth in compressor blade rows” funded by AR&DB, DRDO, Govt. of India. (Awaiting approval, funding amount for the project 19.50 lakhs)

• “Experimental investigation afterburner screech modes using acoustic test facility”, proposal sent to GATET, GTRE, Bangalore (Cost 54 lakhs)
