AICTE-MIC-KAPILA, in association with Park Innovation and Incubation Cell (PIIC) of Park College of Engineering and Technology, organized an IPR awareness program on 16 Jun 2022 at the college premises.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr.K.Kumaresan, HOD, Dept of Mechanical Engineering welcomed the Chief Guest, Mr M.Madhanraj, Examiner of patents and designs Indian patent office, Chennai, and all the participants gathered at the event. The session was presided by Prof AP Haran, Dean, Mechanical Science, PCET.
The inaugural session was followed by the technical session, which was delivered by Mr M.Madhanraj. He presented an overview of Intellectual Property Rights. He provided an insight into the need and importance of IPR and varioustypes of Intellectual Property and their governing bodies. He discussed various acts, rules of IPR in India, and different ways of filling the patent process.
SPOC and Convener Dr.G.Mohankumar Principal, Park College of Engineering and Technology initiated the conduct of the event. The program culminated with vote of thanks proposed by Dr.A.Selvaraj, Associate Professor, Park College of Engineering and Technology.
