The High Commissioner of Seychelles, 11 Winners of Entrepreneurship Ideas Presentation Competition, 30 women leaders who are working for equal rights of women at the state level were honoured at the International Women’s Day celebration at Park Institutions and 60 Self Help Groups (SHGs) exhibited their products.

Park Group of Institution has been celebrating Women’s Day under the name ‘Durga’ for the last 12 years . This year, the event was held in honour of women with the theme “She Leads” with the participation of 800 SHGs & NGOs women members and 1000 girl students and women staff of the college cluster in a grand manner.
The Chief Executive Officer of Park Group of Institutions, Dr. Anusha Ravi presided over the event and in her presidential speech she spoke about the leadership qualities of women and their passion for social entrepreneurship.
Her Excellency Ms.Harisoa Lalatiana Accouche, High Commissioner of Seychelles to India was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The High Commissioner was honoured with the Award for “Excellence in International Relations” by the Institution. In her acceptance speech, she talked about women facing problems and challenges in a positive way and how to approach a problem with confidence.
Founder and Director of Kaumara Prashanti Academy, Coimbatore, Smt. Deepa Mohanraj was honoured with the “Social Entrepreneur Award”.
Further, (i) Smt.V.SreeRajeswari, Assistant Director, District Industries Centre, Coimbatore (ii) Smt. Thulasi Sethu , President, Rotary Club of Coimbatore, Aakruthi, (3) Smt. Vijaya Kumari, President of Pandit Deendayal Smriti Sansthan (Womens Team), (4) Shri. Ganesan, State President of Tamil Nadu State Rights Organisation, (5) Shri. Shanmugam, State Secretary of State Rights Organization, (6) Smt. Lakshmi Devi, Tamil Nadu State Rights Organization Coimbatore District Women’s Team Leader participated in the function.
On this occasion, the products of 60 self-help groups were displayed near the stadium. It was a great help and encouragement to the self-help groups that many people who came to the festival found these things amazing and bought them at a price.
30 women leaders working for equal rights of women at the state level were identified and awarded on this occasion.
All the participants were awarded mementos and certificates.
The session on topics such as (i) Leadership and Entrepreneurship for Women, (ii) Cyber Security for women, (iii) Protecting Health by Naturopathy were very fruitful for the attendees.
On this special day, 3 entrepreneurial women and 8 entrepreneurial girl students who won the final round of the Entrepreneurship Ideas Presentation Contest held over the last one month, were awarded certificates, mementos and startup investment.
Many cultural programmes were held and the ceremony concluded with the national anthem.
